Serving Akron and Summit County

Leadership and governance

Grounded in community. Built with responsible oversight.

GAP is led by a licensed nurse and a pastor, with a board of officers on record. If you are reviewing GAP before a grant, a partnership, or a donation, the governance details are here.

Executive leadership

Leading the work

Two people lead GAP day to day: a nurse with two decades in healthcare, and a pastor who oversees the facility and the organization's community relationships.

Precious Love-Ivery is a licensed practical nurse with more than two decades of healthcare experience across multiple care settings. She teaches the AHA BLS and Heartsaver courses herself, runs GAP's community emergency-preparedness education, and leads the development of the Training Center.

A responsible growth model

A small program done right beats a big one advertised early.

GAP opens a program once its instructors, partners, paperwork, insurance, equipment, and approvals are in place. That approach takes longer. It also means a student who enrolls can finish, and a partner who signs on is supporting a program that is genuinely ready.
