These programs are being built now, and enrollment opens once the approvals, instructors, insurance, equipment, and partners behind each one are in place. The status on every card tells you where it stands today.

Filling in the GAP

After-school programming for Akron youth: tutoring, mentoring, enrichment, and early career exposure. Ages, schedule, and enrollment details will be announced.

Healthcare education pathways

Home Health Aide, DODD medication training, Medication Aide, dining and feeding assistance, and a hospital route covering PCT, phlebotomy, and EKG.

Community Resource Center

Computer access and guided help locating community resources, for residents who do not have either at home. Opening to the public once the space is complete.

Kitchen and food programs

A community kitchen that will support food programs once it is finished.

Athletic and wellness space

An athletic space for recreation, wellness, and youth programs. Nothing is scheduled there yet.

Infant CPR and choking response for new parents, grandparents, and caregivers. Dates and cost will be announced. Ask GAP to add you to the interest list.

Community Rescue Essentials

One session covering Community CPR and AED, Stop the Bleed, and Project DAWN naloxone response. Schedule and cost will be announced.

Ohio Nurse Aide / STNA pathway

Ohio's state nurse aide credential. This pathway opens once state approval and a clinical partner are secured.

What I Wish My Parents Knew

A free screening and conversation for parents, caregivers, and young people. No ticket needed.

What the evening includes

Film screening

What I Wish My Parents Knew shares real stories from young people about depression, anxiety, and what they wish the adults around them had understood.

Facilitated conversation

A guided community discussion after the film, so parents, caregivers, and young people can talk about what they just watched.

Mental health resources

Local resources, support information, and tools families and young people can take home with them.

Community wellness resources

Information and sign-up opportunities for CPR and AED training and naloxone and overdose-response education.

This program discusses sensitive youth mental-health experiences. Anyone attending is welcome to step out or ask for support at any point in the evening.
